Exhaustion Has Claimed Me...
...but before long we will be examining the post-mortem commentary and speech currently seeping from The Left.
For instance, NY's newly re-elected Senator Chuck Schumer just said in a speech (no joke), "I hope that Geroge Bush doesn't interpret this as a mandate, but rather as a call to come to the center."
After all the venom and filth The Left spit at the president? That's NOT what this election has said. This election has said that, even with the mainstream media editing and spinning every story, the heart of America has told Schumer and Manhattan liberals to pack a lunch and shut up.
The numbers 51 and 48 may look close together, but when the biased influence of the MSM is removed this would easily have been a 61% - 39% collossal landslide.
But forget those numbers. Look at the Senate seats Americans wrested away from the obstructionist left. Look at the increase of conservatives in the already Republican owned House. Look at the governorships.
No, Chuck, I'd say that's a mandate.
On a lighter note, I was listening to Dick Cheney speak before the President this afternoon at the Reagan building. He said, "I need to thank my family. My wife Lynn, my daughters..." and I half expected him to finish with "...especially Mary, who I think you are aware happens to be a lesbian, in case you were interested."
All I can say is thank God our troops have their President back.
Now...let's get some work done.
