Help CNN's Eason Jordan 'Ease-On' Out the Door
The Word Increasingly Heard out of the Blogosphere (thanks to The Fourth Rail) is that Eason Jordan cannot hide from the scorn he has wrought upon himself and CNN with his unfounded, intentional and inflammatory statements at Davon that American military purposely targeted, engaged and killed journalists who did not report favorably on the war. If that were really the case, there would hardly be anyone left reading the news on television.
CNN : Callously Napalmed Newsmen
The Fourth Rail (and others) is demanding a tape and/or transcript of the Eason Jordan statements to clear the contradictions between what some in the room claim to have heard and what Jordan and the CNN apparatus says they heard.
Go and read the letter The Fourth Rail sent to CNN and the predictable response from CNN that suggests, of course, nuance. Once again, the public in general (and bloggers in particular) are just not sophisticated enough to fully comprehend the language used by men of such intellectual prowess.
The Fourth Rail has become the rallying point and has been noted by National Review Online’s Kerry Spot.
Sisyphean Musings apparently has contacted the head of media for the WEF:
Mark Adams, Head of media at the World Economic Forum, replied today to my email from yesterday.First, big kudos to Mr. Adams for the quick response! Please pass the word that I'm working this with him so please do not flood him with requests.Second, he has confirmed that he has the video. He needs to make a copy. I have asked for it to be mailed to me by Wednesday next week. I'll update this post as more information becomes available.
There are some interesting comments worth your time as well.
Captain’s Quarters has done an outstanding job of compiling a collection of Jordan-isms past, presenting compelling frame of reference & providing a context for Jordan’s latest.
If you learn of new developments, head on over to the Rallying Point and share a link and a note.
